An antique five stone ring, a stunning opal and diamond ring from the victorian period. The ring is set in 18kt gold and features scroll work on the shoulders. The gemstones are set in an open claw setting. While the ring is solidly made, it has a delicacy to it's size and design.
Measurements and Markings: The band of the ring at the back is 2.05mm in diameter and has a depth of .85mm. The ring shows with Hallmarks for Birmingham 1876 and a sponsor's mark L & L.
Gemstones: The ring is set with two round diamonds, with a diameter of approximately 3.2mm, the total estimated carat weight is .25 carats. The three white opals have the typical iridescent play of colour the central opal is approximately 5mm in length and the two side opals 4.5mm in length.
Condition: The ring is generally in good condition, it shows wear in keeping with it's age. One of the opals at the end could benefit with an extra claw.
Additional Information: The ring will be presented in a black velvet ring box, with a jewellery report included.
